Autumnal Greetings to everyone in the Cochranton Community and Beyond!
Hoping you all have recovered from the exciting week that was the 2023 Cochranton Community Fair! How can it be over 2 months ago? Coming up tomorrow night, Thursday, October 26th, the Fair Parade Committee hosts its annual "a creepy kooky cochranton" Halloween display at the fairgrounds from 6pm - 8pm. Trick-or-Treat in the Borough of Cochranton runs 6pm - 7:30pm. The parade characters will have treats and hot cocoa for our little pedestrians and their adult chaperones. Pedestrian traffic only! Here's hoping we even have some fair volunteers joining in with their own Truck-or-Treat at the fairgrounds. Coming up in November, our Junior Fair Board will be engaging the community with its annual Gingerbread House Competition, being held this year at the United Methodist Church on Adams Street. Details may be found on the Junior Fair Board page about this fun event as part of Christmas in Cochranton, the weekend prior to Thanksgiving. Also during Christmas in Cochranton, Christmas Tree Lane will find its faithful home at the Cochranton Volunteer Fire Department Social Hall on Adams Street. Complete details can be found on the parade committee's website: www.cochrantonevents.com . Our fair board, volunteers, committees, and junior board never really slow down. Meetings resume shortly after the fair closes in August and continue throughout the year. Various fun events are on tap, from gingerbread to pumpkins, ghouls to Christmas trees, fund-raising dinners, and so much more! If you would like to get involved, please contact us!!
